GOAL: pain free...

I went into the hospital Thursday the 17th to have my stones dealt with. Dr. Brusky removed and/or blasted 7 stones! More than we had thought. That night I was in a lot of pain so stayed at the hospital over night. I managed to go home feeling fine that Friday.

Saturday came along and I had to start taking my pain pills in the morning. By the time Nate came home I was taking my maximum dose every 4 hours and was still curled up on the couch. Crying! You all know that never happens. Nate brought me right back up to the hospital... am still in a room with today's goal: pain free!

It turns out that my kidney as well as the ureter tube are so swollen that there is a blockage occurring. Very painful. Today we have stayed on top of IV medications and am doing better, but am also very loopy! Tonight I am having a stint placed on that side to relieve the pressure and the pain. Then in a few days can have that removed as well.

Will keep updating on my medical circus!

UPDATE

Hey all! I am feeling perfectly normal now. Just in time to have my kidney stones operated on! I go in on Thursday to have them blown up. Should be a quick recovery... they said the weekend. We will see though. Hopefully no more complications will happen!

NATE'S BIRTHDAY

Yesterday was Nate's birthday. He's finally 29!

He came home from work early and the kids ambushed him with silly string. Then they gave him the presents they bought with their own money... thank you Dollar Tree!

Then the neighbor kids went shopping for prank gifts and gave them to him.

Ammon took a particular liking to the fry pan...

At 8:30 lastnight we had the neighbors and some friends over for cake and icecream. All in all I think he had a good birthday!

BIKING...

Foster has spent the last few years convincing himself that he couldn't ride a bike. One day Nate took off the training wheels and told him he was going to ride the bike. One try and he was hooked. Never fell or anything! I guess all he needed was a good shove. He begs everyday now. Anyway, he has been training wheel free for 10 days now!

GO DODGERS!

Nate and I took the younger 3 to the Dodger game last weekend. We had a great time, but in the 7th inning Ammon started to melt down. Luckily the Dodgers were up by 8 so we came home.

Cyanne didn't go as she was thrilled to be camping at the beach with some of the neighbors. She had a great time body boarding and doing campfires at Bolsa Chica.

ROCKBAND!!

So for Nate's fathers day we bought him Rockband for the XBOX360. He has been having the kids play with him, and we have had a fair number of friends over to play. Some are more into it than others, but the kids get a kick out of it! Ammon would love to sing, but is still a bit young. Cyanne and Foster love the drums and guitar. I attempt to play, but doesn't go well!
