PAST LITTLE BIT

So sorry I have been so bad at posting... especially since I have been stuck at home. My car is still in the shop from when I got in a tangle with the pole. I have been home a lot, and although it doesn't seem like I do much, I sure seem to run out of hours in the day!

Ressa and Foster have been going to a youth group at our neighbor's church every wednesday night. They have been having a great time doing crafts, playing sports, and doing a BOAT RACE! One wednesday night they came home with blocks of wood in tow. We had to carve boats, make sails and bring them the following week for the grand event. There were tons of creative boats that raced down rain gutters full of water. The kids had to blow in the sails to make them move. The first one to the end was the winner! Here are the boats we made... see if you can guess who's is who's.









St. Patricks Day, as always, was a green event. It was dulled some by my appointment at the cardiology department, but the usual green teeth and hair were in full swing. I only have pictures of the smaller ones...





Cyanne has a science project coming due this week. She chose to see what would keep flowers alive longer. She set it up and has been writing down the results everyday.

TARA vs. POLE

Today I decided to run to Ralphs really quick to get bread. Normal enough, right?

Anyway, we went in, talked to a fireman (Walter), picked up two loaves of bread, picked up a dressing for tonight, paid, got in the car and hit a light pole. Normal day.

I was driving and talking to the kids at the same time. Apparently I am incapable of doing two things at once today. I started to turn left and hit a bump followed by the lightpole.



The tire popped and we had to call Nate whom was at home waiting for lunch. He was so happy... He came and took pictures (no doubt to tease me since up until now he has been the only one to wreck cars in a stupid way); we called insurance, the tow company and body company that the dealership uses. The tow company used the wrench to pull the bumper out of the tire and wheel well and put the spare tire on. We then drove it to the body shop and am currently awaiting the insurance company to look at it.


What a great day!! Everybody do me a HUGE favor and stay away from all those rouge lightpoles... especially at the grocery store!!

FAMILY IN NEED... AUCTION!!!!

Hi everybody. I know I sent out a huge email, so if you did receive this already I apologize. Some of the people with this address are not in my personal address book.


One of my best friends has a brother-in-law that has leukemia for the second time. He received a bone marrow transplant 6 months ago and has been doing okay. Early last month his blood work showed that his leukemia was back. The family has banded together to raise money for his second bone marrow transplant and chemo treatments. As I consider them honorary family I am trying to help as well.

I have donated a few "simply smith" items, and will follow that up with some "apples and aprons" items in the next week or so. I have visited the site the current auction is on and have to say they have some very cute items. Some services are located in Las Vegas, but shipping is available for all solid auctions.
